Ha Ha ....

I got booted the other day while playing Kubra Dam because I tried stealing an enemy jet and killed enemy players.

I was MEC and the US team (wisely I'll admit) had taken our inlet Base and all of the Planes. I decided since we were having trouble taking our air base back I'd swipe their plane instead and maybe keep their jets busy long enough to get our base back.

I was in an APC and headed down the US runway after the new plane spawned and pasted it with a TOW. I ended up killing a couple of other enemies at their air base hangar and then I was kicked for team killing for a Jet!!

Apparently one of the squirrels I had killed told the Admin I was on his team and TK'd him for the jet... It would have been nice if the twit Admin would have noticed that I was on the opposing team before kicking me!

A better analogy would be this:
You come into my home, and start cursing and running your mouth, and shoving my family members around and being an idiot, and then you find yourself lying in the front yard with a blackeye, and cracked ribs.

i think a better analogy would be this:
you come into my hotel room, and ask if it has the spice channel, and i kick out out of the hotel building...

the fact is, its not their home.....its a ranked server which should be open to the public, not a private residence...

there was no mention of where this 'line' is that was supposedly crossed....no mention that obscur refferences will result in a kick/ban

back to my analogy, it would be reasonable if there was a sign saying "do not make any refference to 'adult themes' please" but that doesnt seem to be the case here

It says 16+ on my game cd case ... so if they're younger than 16 what are they doing there?

It would be nice to have consistent rules on all of the servers making it all much simpler. Out of all the online games I've played bf2 seems to have the most rules ever, which are inconsistent throughout servers.

Ignorant analogy.

BF2 is not a democracy, it's a privilege.

A better analogy would be this:
You come into my home, and start cursing and running your mouth, and shoving my family members around and being an idiot, and then you find yourself lying in the front yard with a blackeye, and cracked ribs.

This is more like an analogy of a BF2 Server. A server owner pays for the server, and as long as he don't break any "global rules" he can enforce his rules.

So, go play an another server if you don't like a servers rules!

Although your analogy is more accurate then the police one , all of this inconsistancy between servers doesn't make a better game or community.

The ROE should have a set language filter, and that's it. None of this taking things out of context or grey areas. It leaves enforcement far too much in the hands of fallable administrators. Also those with ulterior motives.

If X-rated was so bad, how come it's not in their filter? Wouldn't that be a better solution?

Take the decisions out of the hands of administators, where ever, and when ever possible and you'll have a better game.

It's the ROE itself and the servers that it creates, that is at the root of the problem. It's an ill written and seriuosly flawed document.

A ROE (Rules of Engagment) shouldn't contain a section for making your own rules as you see fit. It simply doesn't make any sense at all. The rules of engagment, are up to you? How are those rules by any stretch of the imagination?

This whole "play by our ambiguous rules or leave" attitude is failing miserably.

I'm a guy with zero bans and very few kicks and I can see what it's doing to the community.

Saying "Just go to another server" is like telling someone who gets pulled over by a cop even though he’s done nothing wrong, and then gets told by the cop to "Get on outta my county, boy" that the cop was right, and the right thing to do is to leave. It's wrong and you all know it.

Just because the cop has power doesn’t make him right. Same thing applies to admins.

The admins are incredibly biased and inconsistent, and the sooner everyone stops defending their capricious, unfair enforcement of their personal little set of unique + special rules, the better off we'll all be.

One set of rules for all ranked servers would make the entire BF2 experience better for everyone. Consistent, fair enforcement would help too.

It's not "abuse" if rules are posted, and someone "breaks" the rule. Like it or not. Find another server.

But he didn't break any rules.
