personally i think you're all childish. who cares if he plays knife and pistol only. That's like playing pistols only on goldeneye on the n64. It's fun for a change and I don't think people do it to stat pad, some might do so, but you're just judging anyone who wants to have a challenging game. And I think this ROE is the biggest crock of shiit I've heard in a while.

That was my point i was trying to make the game more enjoyable insteam of gettign complaints by players saying hes teamkilling hes spawn killing hes shooting me trough and wall,
but bfroe dont want you to have fun they want to take it seriously.im sure they think its real.ill ask them ,do you think its real.
to be honest they can me on 0 points ,without a rank aslong as i can play the game without the negative points.But lets be realistic EA/DICE making a patch the works without glitches so we can all play by the rules.Look at half the rules up there they all rules counter acting the glitches.

BASICALLY they need to fix the game before they can make rules for it.
Infact thats what there doing wrong making rules for the game before the game is ready.
They didnt make rules for football before tehy decided how to play it.
I think that shoudl be added the the EA rules .
One shall not make rules for a game before game is ready and perfect for players to play.

and about the unranked server why shoudl we have it unranked to have fun. games are made for fun not for it to be perfect.
maybe we shoudl unranked the server or maybe bfroe shoudl ban it ,personally id perfer that.
then they cant say tehre there to amke the game better ,there just like traffic wardands out for that rule breaker. and everyone know what we think out them.

why not make your server unranked?

or have these server rules changed to be more of 'suggestions' or 'preffered', but not mandatory, or enforced.......if you look, it says in the ROE that "admins may not enforce" these rules or it is in breach of the ROE

Karkand is a NO ARMOUR map becuase poeple are getting annoyed with being tank and TANKS raping there spawn points.
The only time it was knife and psitol was when every choose to use knife and pistol, but now we have relised that not everyone choose to use knife and pistol even though 50% did ,so now its still a NO ARMOUR map with all weapons allowed and now we enforce teh knife and pistol choice not to continue.
Anyway See For Yourself ,You Dont Need Me To Tell

oh so you must know alot of people that that spawn rape ,one of the many faults ea/dice have made.
If there going to make ruels for a game make sure the game functions correctly.
So therefore every player that plays BattleField 2 Shoould not fly a heli,plane infact use anythign that moves.
Be a commander (functions have gliches)
so saying your not allowed to prevent this must be wrong.
Ea/Dice wants to make the game enjoyable for others, But they cant becuase patch upon patch fails.
When player join this server atleast they can play Karkand without NOOB spawn rapers commaner droping cars on you .Poeple shooting through walls in a car.

IF you want to condone this then your as bad as as the people that cheat.
I try and make the gaming experiance better while poeple liek yourself and your co-workers or hwoever is monitoring the server are spoiling it for the rest of us.

I must stress IF your guna make rules Make a game without the glitches.Obvoisly they cant do that so the rules shoudl be void.

One question for you.
Is battlefield 2 running smoothly with game glitches and cheaters on ALL the server you have "monitored"?

you cant set Karkand to no armor, you can set it to infantry only if your running 1.4, but you can not just decide to set it to no armor, looks like I will need to resubmit this server..

here are the rules for your enjoyment..

3.2.1 Players may not use or exploit game mechanisms to artificially boost their score ("stats padding") and Server administrators may not knowingly allow or encourage this activity on their servers.

This would include but not limited to:

(a) Using tag teams to take turns to kill and revive each other in turn (using knives, pistols, etc.)

(b) Playing on Knife and/or Pistol only Servers

(c) Playing on Knife only Servers

(d) Playing on “High Points” Servers

(e) Playing on “No Artillery” or “No Armour” Servers (except when using Infantry only server-side option)

(f) Using Vehicles removed from battlefield for purposes of artificially inflating points

(g) Turning boats upside down and constantly repairing them

(h) Glitching inside buildings (using building model glitches to attack out without risk of being hit).


BTW we have been tracking the players on that server for days in the reporting system...

I'll add my two bits in here.

When you buy the game, copyrights, whether or not you own them is not an issue.

Follow me here,

If you run a ranked server and don't follow the rules of the ROE, although they are poorly written and give too much leeway IMO, when you are deemed to be in violation of these rules your server will have it's ranked status revoked and anyone playing on that server could have their stats wiped.

Now keep following me here (and here's the point),

Once your ranked server is now unranked and all the players who played there (or the ones caught playing there) have their stats wiped, you are still able to play the game.

EA/DICE/BFS2 has not stopped your ability to play the game, it has simply limited your ability to run a ranked server and has wiped you and and the players stats to zero. You can still use the product you bought, copyright or not.

If you want to play on your server now, you simply won't accumulate points. If you and the people who played on your server who were caught want to play on another ranked server, your points will begin to grow again from zero.

Whether or not EA/DICE BF2s will do any of this is another issue all together.

It's the same with PB, you agree to play with PB on, if you violate the PB's programming, even with a hardware ban it does not stop you from using the game you bought. It simply limits you to servers that don't use PB. If there are very few of them that's not EA/DICE/BF2s's problem, that's your problem.

we arnt talking about ranked servers for mods they are using copyrighted material in there mods, which is punishable.

and Ranked or unranked your not breaking copyright laws by making a Pistol knife only server, so EA wont do anything, people threaten i'll exploit you to get you banned, its a load of crap, EA dont go that far to risk there necks. unless a copyright breach is made, in which they can make a bit of Money off of the perpetrator.

I really shouldn't even reward this thread with a response as it is obvious you have no idea what you're talking about, but I'll try anyway.

EA/Dice has something called the ROE (Rules of Engagement) that you agree to when you play on ranked servers. You can read the latest version of the ROE here, but I'll put in the most relevant parts for you to read in this thread.

2.3.1 Disallowed “In-House” Ranked Server Rules:

Server Administrators may not implement or enforce server rules on ranked servers that prohibit players from using any roles, kits, weapons, vehicles or other features of the game while playing on their server. Examples of such rules that would violate the conditions of use are:

(a) Preventing any players from being Commander or Squad Leaders.

(b) Preventing any players from using certain vehicles such as jets, helicopters or tanks.

(c) Preventing any players from using commander assets (artillery, vehicle drop, UAV or scans).

(d) Preventing any players from using certain weapons or items (such as flashbangs or C4) or enforcing a “pistol only” or “knife only” server rule.

. REPORTING VIOLATIONS OF THE ROE

Anyone who observes violations of the ROE based upon server rules or player actions should report these violations (with screenshots) as soon as possible.

Any action taken against players or Server Administrators will be taken by EA and may include having ranked servers being delisted (unranked) or having player accounts reset to remove all global points and awards.

There is no arguement here and I'm not going to explain those quotes at all. Just read them and then search for the people who have had their stats reset. There are multiple threads from people who will tell you that EA can in fact do something to people who don't follow the ROE.
