Full is for a no-patched game just installed or if you missed previous patch or patches, incremental is if you have the previous installed.
If there is a beta 2 incremental you can download this one as you have beta 1 installed.

The primary difference is:

Incremental - Partial patch, takes you from an existing patch say 1.22 to 1.3. The incremental patches are smaller downloads.

Full - Full patch takes you from a clean installation to the current version of the game say 1.0 - 1.3. The full patch downloads are larger and seem to work a lot better and provide some alleged stability.

If you want to play on a RANKED server, follow the directions on the "Read Me" file that comes bundled with the download. The beta patch is exactly that, a test patch to gather feedback from the community to see what is a wanted change vs an unwanted change. You cannot play Ranked on beta.

Incremental is like just part of the patch update, just the files you need to go from say 1.3 to 1.4.

Full is say you unninstall BF2 and install. The full patch updates from v1 to v1.4 etc.

now i see beta 2 has been realsed so which one do i download?
