dude, TC boss, you're the MAN! Thanks for the help, everything works except I can't get into games now. Its really weird, says "no selected server" and when I retry i don't have the right version.

What is the most current patch out, for SF?

Go to your BF2 directory (If you installed the game with the Default settings it is: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 )
Check if your folder called 'Shaders' is empy, if it is empty go to the folder called 'Shaders_Client' (Note: this is a .zip file) copy ALL the files to your folder 'Shaders', restart the game. Hope this works, it did for me :P

No need, just install the full 1.3 patch and your problem will be solved.

To search the forums click on the tab above this thread, you would need to type something along the lines of "lightning.fx error"

hey guys, I registered a while ago just to get help with this. Everytime I bring up my Battlefield 2: Special Forces I get this error message.



I do have the newest patch.
I do have BF2 installed.
I do have newest nVIDIA drivers...

what do I do??

Any help is going to be appriciated..
