to those using the "its a game argument" you are exactly right, it is a game, not real life. but do you honestly think people are opposed to prone spamming because its not realistic? its simply bad game design. an animation with a total of 2 frames (standing/prone) that can be rapidly changed. thats what we call a gameplay killer. now maybe dice went about it the wrong way, but at least they did something about it! but prone spam is just one problem in which a getup delay fixes. theres also dolphin diving and prone shooting. dolphin diving can be fixed with no proning in the air. and a small fire delay would fix the prone shooting.
the people that oppose these things being fixed talk about skill and whatnot, but really they just want the game to be easy.
prone should be something that is done sparingly and mostly for long range. in close quarters it should be about who can aim better.
