problem with your connection

hi all, hope this mesage finds everyone well.:)

before the 1.3 patch, playing on internode and gamearena servers never used to be a problem, ping of about 25 on both, and nothing used to go wron.

now after installing the FULL 1.3 patch, and getting past that ctd when pressing join game, i am having another problem.

on the very same internode and game arena servers, ill have the same ping as usual, and everything will be happy, but always at some point in time(seems to be happining about every third round) my game will freeze and a message will come up saying "there is a problem with your connection" and then after about 1 to two mins of freeze it will go back to the multiplayer menu with a message saying that my connection to the server has been lost.

ive never had this problem before, but now its is happinging, and i was wondering
1)whats causing this?

2)how/if i can fix it?

yeah i just came back from not playing.. i quit before the expansion came out so now i bought it and somtimes it plays fine but other times i join a server then instantly problem with connection but my connection is fine...

the patch 1.3 their might be a hotfix on the way, browse these forums other people might have found some solutions

im getting the same thing plain on server that were fine then the lockin up and loosin connection thing happens, in short im email the EA guys and they are helpin me out with trying to fix it, i get a email a day to try new things change settings, so hopefully it will be sorted out here is the complete conversation so far

I play on those servers, same thing is happening to me.....Just upgraded so it would stop crashing. bloody murphy!

I played for a few hours last night and had a new problem. I lost my connection three times over about three hours. New Problem: Every time I rejoined the server I crashed to desktop as soon as I hit the Join button. I could select a spawn point and a kit, but could not actually spawn into the game. The first time this happened, I launched BF2 again and joined with no problems on my second attempt. The second and third times, though, required a reboot before I could do anything.

Any thoughts???

its the patch - totally random and EA support has no idea!
