Re: Cd-Key, V1.3, game installed, key lost
wow, if you would read any of my post, key phrase, "i think 1.3 removed the ergc string, how do i recall the key on 1.3?" that help topic is if you have the ERGC string, which i DONT, please read the post before you comment/reply, more info, the only keys i have are such,
Battlefield 2/InstallDir=C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2
"/Language=English
"/locale=en_US
"/version=1.3
Battlefield 2/wdc/(Default)=True
This leads me to another 2 questions,
1. Is there a patch rollback from 1.3
2. If so, wil it auto-create the cd-key reg key again??

1. No
2. No
For the ergc info...make sure you are in the correct area of the registry. In the HK_Current_User, the ergc for bf2 is blank. In HK_Local_Machine, the ergc is still there.

Re: Cd-Key, V1.3, game installed, key lost
Ill try again, but i looked through my whole logical registry area the other day and it seems that "wdc" replaces the spot that "ergc" should be, ill look again right now, gotta boot it up.
holdon, i think i know the problem ERGC, could that be Ea Registration Game Code? It probably is, which means it wont be there, seeing as i didnt register, but the key has to be SOMEWHERE on the computer!! or else how does pb recognize it?
maybe it is in one of the dll's, just encoded
somewhere

Re: Cd-Key, V1.3, game installed, key lost
EA might be able to help you. I lost my BF:V CD key back in the day and there was a form somewhere on their support site to get a new cd key, I just had to send a scanned copy of my cds.
