stay this is the worst server I have EVER seen

I join nice ping, nice day out in oman, I see a jet YES! its gonna be a good day, I check to my left check to my right and when i look at my right what do I see? a blackhawk coming right for me and running me over and 2 other team-mates I call for the admin the other team goes stop your whining. I can see the admins talking in the top saying go to there site and that. HE does this again like 3 times so I get in the essex TK him like 3 times and what happens? I get banned

I cant say enough good thing about that server it seems well admined,i have had a good time there and any problems i have had were fixed right away.

The guy is just having a bad day. He was probably frustated and came to vent here, just not a good idea to accuse good servers on a first try.

In regards to the www.fullcontactwar.com server being the worst server, the responses from both jawful and others contradicts that statement. The fact that an admin responded says quite a bit but I think I see a problem with the server. The fact that you guys have 50 or so admins will probablly cause problems for your server. There are a**holes everywhere, and the more admins you have the bigger the chance of getting a few of them as admins and the're a bigger problem than tkers.

From what cyberduck said, he repeatedly asked for help but got none. Now I dont go for revenge tking but there are times when tking a griefer should be accepted. If the server/admins are no help and a tker is causing the team a problem, like preventing USMC from getting off the carrier on Wake for and example, tking him to give your team a chance shouldnt get u banned.

Now from the sound of it your probably a good bunch of guys and have a good server but having 50 admins playing judge and jury all the time will just cause problems. If an admin does kick or ban unjustly there is no true way to correct it. Going to your website and posting will probably be a "who do you believe" admin or just some average player. Average player going to get screwed(This is in regard to the a**hole admins not all admins).

I also dont believe you admins what to be judge and jury all the time and would just like to play like the rest of us. The best thing I have seen on some servers is the autoban system. If a player gets punished say 3 or 4 times he gets banned for the round. True, he will eventually get back in but 3 or 4 punishes later he is gone again. Maybe set it up so if you do it again in a certain amount of time longer the ban. Now I know that it wont solve all problems and admins are needed but it should solve most of the problems and keep the admins playing instead of administrating.

Next time, cyberpunk, you should post on there website first. Give them a chance first before posting here but I understand your fustration.

Sorry for the length of my rant. I've had a few issues with admins before.

You are VERY right about having 50 admins being judge and jury. However I am the owner of the server and I guaruntee that if I EVER find an admin abusing his position, he'll be gone in a heartbeat. We are the offical server for the BF2TRACKER 64-man WARS once a month, and we've got to be careful keeping things equal.

We are also one of the only Squad/Voip-only servers, which we push hard to achieve. Now, the ROE dictates that you can't enforce those kind of rules, but I personally DETEST RANKED SERVERS.COM and everything they THINK they represent, so they can KISS MY.....never mind.

Now, I have admins ALL THE TIME that do things in the grey area....banning before warning, etc. But they do not abuse it TOO bad. You see, the reason we have so many admins is that we divided the globe (you think I might be kidding) into three sections:

Green: America
Blue: Europe and the Eastern Block
Red: Hawaii, Japan, Australia, and Asia

And each section has about 10-25 admins that play every other night or so. Now see how the math works? And because of that, we admin the server 24/7 with a REALLY good crew. We're just missing ten more guys on the Red team, which is America time (CST 5:00AM-12:00noon)

When this happens, we'll be the top server.

For a lack of better words, I'M A RICH GUY WHO PAYS FOR THE SERVERS AND WILL NOT TAKE A DONATION. AND BECAUSE I OWN RESTAURANTS, ALL I CARE ABOUT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Every player on our server will be treated as a VALUED customer, and they're ALWAYS RIGHT!!

And the admins are family. Yet we WILL work out the problems. And I have neither the time nor the inclination to deal with horrible admins....EVER!! Nor will I put up with people who TK teamates EVER for a piece of equipment. Mark my words...if you go on our server and say somebody stood in front of your plane while you were taking off on purpose, he will be banned permenantly before the smoke clears. At the same moment, this gentlemen DID have a problem and couldn't get it resolved on our server. I HOPE he makes it back on.....he is DEFINITELY welcome. And if he has a problem in the future, my personal email is:

im not mad about being banned im mad about the guy tking and no one doing anything about it. the guy was like a grettoswe or something and another guy called neot32 or something like that. it was swooping down with the blackhawk. I called for an admin SO MANY TIMES. and all I got from the people playing there was

"shut up and play"
"stop your whining"
"shut up your bad"

when it was near impossible to get off the carrier :-/

Now I'm just a regular at FCW, looking out for these fine fellows that help moderate the wonderful server. And there are pleanty of other regulars out there similiar to myself. I have started a clan in CS and rented gaming server, I pretty much know what to do if there is an abusive admin, as I'm sure many other regulars do too. I can GURANTEE if one of the FCW Regulars spot a FCW Admin causing major problems and being abusive, they'll snap a bunch of screen shots right away and send them to a DanOfEarth or at least one of the head admins.

Now I'm sure after reading the admin responces from Jawful, Dan, and Auto, you'll already pick up how mature the admins are. I'm not saying they're perfect, everyone makes mistakes and anything out there in the world isn't flawless... but you'll have a great time at FCW no doubt. If you look at a lot of Dan's posts at fullcontactwar.com, you'll see what a great guy he is... look at all the tips and **** he has made, he's straight up for an awesome community, nothing more or less ( well maybe it's a scheme for his catering business that he owns, I haven't figured that one out yet :p ).

Cyberduck it was probably the same dicks that kept TKing your team. Don't worry about it, just keep spamming for an admin and one of 'em will respond to ya. If you have a microphone and Teamspeak, you can join up the FCW's TS server and yell out for a admin. It's helpful scanning over the admin list so you know who's a admin and just call out for 'em over TS or ingame.

You should definitely give it another shot, it seemed like Friday was a bad day... quite a bit of knuckle heads. :) Take it easy

Also when calling for an admin, be sure to use J and be in the global chat, not K or L because even though we usually have admins on both teams, sometimes we don't and may not have had one on your team.

DanOfEarth, you made some good points regarding your server. The 50 or so admins does make more sense when split up in time zones and the philosophy of customer service sounds real good. Bear(or Bare???) in mind I dont know your server but on past servers I or others have been banned and there is not much you can do about it. Some admins because they have the ability to ban seem to ban just because they can with no thought to just punishing. Now I understand that you guys can spot horrible admins but the ones that are a little low key can get away with a lot. And if a server does have a website for complaints regarding banning or problems, convincing them seems unlikely. I'm talking mostly about permbans or close too, not small temp bans. Some sites require you to deal with the admin who banned you and in most cases that works but if he or she is the one who wronged you you're not going to get anywhere.

Now the fact that you and Jawful posted says a lot and I'm definitely not telling you what to do with your server but you might want to think about an autoban. On one of the servers I play if you get 3 punishes in a round you get banned for that round. Clean and simple. True the jackass might get back in the next round but if he is back to his old tricks, he will **** off people and will be gone in no time. At the same time if you get a few tks and get punished, as we all do from time to time, the average players doesnt have to worry about a lengthly ban or permban. It seems the biggest problems that admins deal with is just simple tkers and this would free them up to deal other issues or just to play the game(crazy idea).:laugh:

Now after my little rant it sounds to me that you run a good server. Me and a few friends are always looking for a good server to play on. Might be worth it to check your server out. Might see you around.

Actually, it's funny you said that. We're going to put a -16 or so on the score (or 5 or more TKs) as the Auto limit and hopefully that will help a little. A bomber can EASILY accidently pop three or four of their own guys...hate to see them get kicked for that.

And Duck-man, PLEASE get a hold of me or post on our forum before posting something horrible about the server! I spend alot of time trying to make the server work properly, probably five times more than alot of the owners out there, and it hurts the reputation of it badly. Unless, or course, we DESERVE that rep.
