I'm pretty sure programs like this are useless now that operating systems and programs are better at handling memory addressing. The only reason I could see you would need this is if you're running a buggy program that doesn't handle memory well (leaks it.)

ya used to use it... untill i started playing bf2. if it tries to free up ram while your in-game playing bf2 it turns to choppiness hell. at least on my cpu with 1gb of ram. now i always turn it off before loading bf2..

the only program that i use is EndItAll2 it closes alot of bs processes that your cpu is doing, so it can focus more on a larger application (battlefield 2). works great.

I used to use memturbo, same sort of program. They work good freeing up ram before you play. I don't know about FreeRam but Memturbo had a deep scan option that would clean out like 95% of your RAM. Turn it off then fire up BF2.

Untill BF2 came out, can't handle a steady RAM usage, create memory leaks on server and client side even after patch, can't use RAM effective

that sounds good, wont have to do the ctrl-alt-del pregame ritual anymore sweet.

I use System Mechanic, has the ram free'er up thingy, but I never use it, no need with 2 gigs of ram. :-P

I used to use it.. But as someone said before, when you start playing BF2 it gets really chuggy trying to free up your RAM
