    Headset

Guy's im looking to buy a new headset but i have very little audio knowledge.
Before buying i'd like to know what is the best price/quality headsets out there and how can i see if a certain headset is good?? I know when they say 5.1 and 7.1 they are damn good and expensive but i have no idea what it stands for or what it does.

I am looking for good audio/surround and good microphone quality, but not much more expensive than 50€
I'm really looking forward to have good audio quality to play my games! specially now that bf3 is comming.
I have no problem in buying them through the internet so if you can give me some links with the ones you would recommend that would also be helpfull!:thumbsup:

    Re: Headset

5.1 and 7.1 doesn't necessarily mean they are good. Most headsets will only have two speakers anyway, so any "surround" experience will be done with signal processing.
I am on my second Roccat Kave (the first one was dropped one time too many), but they seem to be rather expensive in Portugal.

Before that I had a Creative Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset HS-1000 which I can not recommend since it had severe microphone problems. Others reported the same on creatives website with no response, so I am not going to by any more Creative headsets.

            Re: Headset

I have been seeing reviews and they all say , it's a very famous brand in japan (Or china?) , and that it can keep up with the most famous ones like roccat etc... After a lot of research and comparison between the specs of the ones you've showed me i've came to the conclusion this was the best price/quality i could found. It also has some crazy vibrating **** wich id also like to try out

              Re: Headset

I just got this for $50:

With noise cancelling turned off, they're nothing special. But powered on, they kick serious ass. No included microphone, though.

The noise cancelling can block out even the loudest snores from these old bastards...
