    I didn't say you didn't. I didn't say anybody on this forum didn't. But forums are open for anybody to contribute on, and as a result, you always get people who aren't always knowledgeable. People come to forums to learn, so I usually like to point out things that people should watch out for.

The corsair stays extremely steady even when the load is high whilst, even though it isnt terrible, the Xigmatic tends to spike quite a bit.

    Milliamps, or millivolts? It's not ampres you need to worry about. Computer hardware is very sensitive, and needs very precise voltages. If the voltage is too low or too high, or there's a lot of ripple, it increases stress on the voltage regulation modules on the hardware components. This can shorten the life of your hardware. I've read somewhere that the majority of memory sticks that fail or go bad do so because of bad voltages on the 3.3v rail.

    If someone is going to be using a modular unit, I'd recommend a semi-modular one like the Corsairs over a fully modular one. The good thing about the Corsair power supply and other semi-modular power supplies is that the ATX12V, ESP12V and the motherboard power connectors are hard wired, and they're the connectors supplying power to the most sensitive components in the PC.

    Now, this is coming from someone who is using a 520HX as we speak, but there are a lot of otherwise decent power supplies I wouldn't trust my hardware to because of modular connectors.

    I just think it's something to be weary of.

    Something I see a lot, on many, many forums (not necessarily this one, I haven't been active here enough to know) is that there's a good handful of people who don't actually understand what makes something happen, or what makes something good or bad, and simply make recommendations based on what they've seen others recommend. I haven't seen anybody do it on this forum, but I'll see people recommend not so good PSUs on other forums.
