    Changing Password/ Reinstalling Windows Problems

    hey guys,

so today i woke up and decided to change my password (random i know) and when i changed my password and tried to sign in it would not let me. After hours of trying to sign in i gave up and tried to reinstall Windows XP Pro

I got more than half way through the installation when it says to insert Disk 2 or w/e. So i did this and i pressed OK. It began the installation process again but after a couple seconds of sitting there it gives me an error message saying that it could not be processed, Fetal error, and there was some file missing.

help me!!! i need the computer and i cannot believe such a simple thing like changing my password would cause such havoc! haha

    Thanks:)

Have you tried giving the disks a clean, sometimes mucky fingerprints or whatever can cause read errors.
