i would get the 512mb 8800 GTS mate a lot more power.. processor sounds good but quad core isnt at its peek so you may have some small problems but not major but looks really good mate.. my opinion anyway buddy

I would look for a little more memory on the GPU. If the system is running in vista you may want a little more RAM, not sure how quad core will work on a gaming rig, theres a few reviews out here saying that multi-core arn't much better and in some cases worse for gaming - I use dual-core.

But it looks like a good set up for the price!

Shall i go with the
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750

instead of the q6600?

and shall i go with the
512MB XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog

instead of the 256mb version?

both processors are fine. Maybe the q6600 if you plan to OC it would be my choice now. I have E6750 and on couple of occasions found out that I would have benefitted from the two extra cores in encoding some movies. Not in games though.

Either way they won't leave you cold.

Yes. 8800GT with 512MB is a far more sensible bet than 256MB which might run some games really slow.
