    Need suggestion on Joysticks

Well im thinking of buying a Joystick for Bf2 tomorrow but i don't know much well i don't know anything about joysticks since i never owned one and i think i used one like... 3 years ago. So my question is what must a Joystick have to make it a good & reliable Joystick, what brands should i aim for , and if you have a particular Joystick in mind let me know i'll look it up. Also, i would like to know price ranges for good Joysticks out there.

    Thank you.

Ok..First things first. Whatever anybody says, Do NOT get a Logitech 3d Pro or Extreme. Read the reviews

    1. First, you want a Joystick that has Rudder control, or "Twist" function.
    2. The stick needs to be attractive, and easy to to use. Not too stiff, not to soft.

    3. DECENT THROTTE CONTROL!! Dear god, throttle is very important on a joystick.

    4. No Plastic Crap all over it.
    5. Buttons evenly laid out and in reach.
    6. Nothing below 15 Pounds or Dollers.
    7. Rubber protecters below the stick..
    8. NEVER EVER EVER GET WIRELESS!!!
    9. Nice big weighted base
    10. Comfy

      Re: Need suggestion on Joysticks

Well ended up buying a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro , there wasn't a big variety of joysticks in BestBuy it was either 3D Pro, Attack 3 or Saitek Aviator.

I didn't quite much liked the look of the aviator so that left the Attack 3 and Pro, i did remember you said not to get pro but i saw alot alot alot of bad reviews on the Attack 3 so i went for the Pro and got a 2 year warranty since i heard the Pro brakes alot.

So far i love using it with Jets awsome control no complains so far, with Choppers i still need a bit more practice.

Lets hope this 3D Pro comes out a good one and doesn't brake on me, on my way to becoming a great pilot .

Faith thanks for the tips .

NOOOOOOOO!! Thats the 1st thing I told you NOT to do :P

Oh maybe not...-.- Sorry I forgot.

I should of put not to get a Logitech 3d Pro or Extreme.

        ##############################

Now I've read your post twice and I fully understand it now :P Well, I guess I can't stop you from using it..(Or can I ) Just enjoy the use of joysticks and go easy on it. I have bad memories with the Pro..On my First Account which got banned, I snapped off the Throttle Accelerator by accident in mid air causing my jet to turn off. I already had 2 warnins for ban because I Teamkilled my team..(I mistook the admins tank for an enemy) The jet flew straight into a squad of more admins which lead to my perm ban.

What makes it worse is I was about 3 kills off my VERY VERY hard worked for Air Combat Medal.

I got Banned and forced to make a new account..

        Thanks Logitech 3d Pro.

        I'll stop talking now o.O
