BF2 Won't install on Vista RC2

Anyone know of a workaround for this ? The game worked just fine on Vista RC1, so it doesn't make much sense that doesn't work in RC2. During installation, it stops everytime on the same file. Client_Objects.zip is the culprit. I have already tried running the BF2 setup.exe in WinXP compatability mode. It doesn't help.

Any information would be greatly appreciated as I would hate to have to go back to RC1. I have searched around but haven't found anything useful.

i reallly have no clue about vista... but have you tryed contacting windows/microsoft??

I suppose I could ask Microsoft, but that will be a last resort. I could roll back to RC1 and get everything reinstalled before I'll get an answer from them. The best people to ask are you people. The people who play this game, know this game, and all the modders here who know the workings. Microsoft is just going to tell me : That problem has been resolved in the final release. Please buy Vista when it is available in stores.

It works fine on VIsta RC2; I am playing right now.

Maybe ifyou have problems turn down settings but I have mine on maxed out.

wtg there, it doesnt work cos its not installed yet, try reading op 1st


perhaps theres a problem with your disc?

You know what, same happens to me! Turns out my disk2 is bad BUT it installed before and its brand new, maybe Email EA and see if they can send you another. I am going to walmart and see if i can extange it

i doubt you will be able to exchange PC games, and EA wont send you a new disc unless you Pay for it
