um u lost me a bitOriginally posted by Sir. BOBSONATOR025Heres a crash course for you.
Is it a new one
Dont foreget to set LTD to 4x.
If this works out fine, downlaod super Pi, and calculate to 1 million. Then if it passes try 32m.
lol damn newbies lol
(1)my mobo is a 939 i got it early this year
(2) and i assume 32m is part of super pi in your link?(thanxs for link)
(3)LTD<what is this?(still learning m8)
(4) i dont want to cook breakfast on my computer so i dont want to go full on ,just tweak a bit:)
I cant remember a LTD setting on my gigabyte k8n4 board?

Been there, done that. Still don't get a good overclock.Originally posted by MerlinThen your timings are too tight, go for lower timings and you will get better results.Leave a comment:

Heres a crash course for you.
Is it a new one?
Step E3 or E6?
Older E3's usually clock better, but start here.
Go into bios and change FSB to 250 and CPU multi to 10x, vcore to 1.45, and ram to 166 divider. Should run @ 208.
Dont foreget to set LTD to 4x. Comes out nice and smooth @ 1000mhz, and your processor @ 2500.
If this works out fine, downlaod super Pi, and calculate to 1 million. Then if it passes try 32m.
If all this works, post back here and we'll step it up a bit from there. :)Leave a comment:

Set the ram to 166 Mhz, up the HT FSB to 240 and put the HT multiplier down to 4X.
Now you have a 3800 Venice :)
If it's unstable increase the Vcore voltage!Leave a comment:

First of all overclock from BIOS , dont use ntune. Leave your cpu voltage at default first and increase your FSB 5mhz at a time. Then reboot and run SuperPI
32m to see if its stable. If its not o back to bios add more cpu voltage and try it again.
Also try to keep your ram divider 133/166 if ur huning CPU clock .Leave a comment:
