You should not get stuttering because of RAID. I would say your problem is a missing driver somewhere. Try updating the chipset for the motherboard, sound, and video

i just added a raid 0 setup to my existing setup, brand new clean install of xp pro all the latest drivers for m/b & video card etc. installed BF2, SF, 1.3patch (full), EF & AF. when i play it is nearly impossible to focus the mouse on any targets quickly (kinda sways). yet on the old ide drive it runs perfectly, i even copied the settings folder across and got a slight improvement but its still not as good as the original install. it makes no difference if i use 1 core or 2 either.
any ideas?

6800GT
160gb sata (10gb windows + 120gb data + 20gb other OS)
120gb ide storage drive (original install here)
80gb Raid 0 (2 x wd 40gb hdds running of pci raid card)
