Valve Announces Counter-Strike 2

Valve's massively popular FPS gets an engine upgrade and a test starting today.

Valve officially announced Counter-Strike 2 today after weeks of teases, speculation, and rumors. The developer calls this "the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike's history" and I'm inclined to believe it.

Counter-Strike 2 will launch to everyone starting in Summer of 2023. Counter-Strike 2 will be a free upgrade to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some Counter-Strike:...

Sony's Jim Ryan Reportedly Said His Goal is to 'Block Your Merger' in Closed Door Meeting with Activision

The CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment reportedly had some choice words during a meeting with Activision.

It has been a ridiculous day for Sony when it comes to new details that have come out about the company's opposition to the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger.

First, a new report from The Verge's Tom Warren shared some key pieces of information from documents (PDF download) that were recently submitted to the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)....

Review: The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition

An easy purchase for new players but maybe a hard sell for existing owners.

It was not until I reinstalled the original PC release of The Outer Worlds that I was able to really appreciate the improvements made with the release of The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition. Initially, I believed that this looked exactly like the same game that I had played on PC back in late 2019 when it first came out.

"I'm just not seeing what makes this Spacer's Choice Edition worth...

Next week, DICE is preparing to roll out the 4.1.0 update for Battlefield 2042. This is the first major update for Season 4: Eleventh Hour, though it's not the first update of the season. Before diving into the decently long changelog for update 4.1.0, DICE also shared a bit of information on the upcoming...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is set to be a third-person action focused adaptation of the 2020 comic series of the same name. Like the comic, this game will be a darker and more mature take on the Turtles.

Polygon is the first to share this announcement thanks...

Microsoft Cancelled a PlayStation 5 Version of Redfall

Arkane's Harvey Smith says a planned PS5 version was scrapped following Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda.

Redfall is an upcoming cooperative FPS that will have you and up to three additional friends roaming the town of Redfall slaying vampires. Redfall was announced as being exclusive for PC and Xbox platforms, which does make a lot of sense seeing as how the developer, Arkane, is owned by Bethesda and Bethesda is owned by Microsoft.

In an interview with IGN France,...

  • Poll: What Platform Do you Game on the Most?
    by Shawn Zipay
Do you prefer consoles? PC? Maybe mobile is your preferred platform?

This month's poll is a bit generic if only because I really don't know what to ask right now and this is the easiest thing that came to mind. The question is simple: Which sort of platform do you prefer to play games on?

Do you like playing on consoles? Do you prefer to play games on PC? What about mobile games? Maybe you prefer to spend most of your time on your phone playing this, that, or the other....
