Sony flatly denies a recent Bloomberg report.

Less than a day ago, a report from Bloomberg stated that Sony cut the initial production of PlayStation VR2 hardware from 2 million units to 1 million units. Their report claims that Sony cut their shipment forecast "after early pre-orders disappointed."

Today, Sony has come out to flatly deny those claims made by Bloomberg. In a statement made to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony says that they have "not cut PlayStation VR2 production numbers." They continue on to say that they are "seeing enthusiasm from PlayStation fans for the upcoming launch, which includes more than 30 titles such as Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Call of the Mountain, and Resident Evil Village."

PlayStation VR2 is slated to arrive on February 22. The VR device will cost $550 at launch and will ship alongside 37 titles in its launch window. A look at those launch titles can be found in the image shared below.
