Stop me if you've heard this one before.
Skull and Bones

Ubisoft just announced that Skull and Bones has been delayed. Yes, again. Despite recently receiving an ESRB rating and despite a recent release date announcement, the game has been pushed back into 2023.

The firm* release date is now March 9, 2023. The reason given is the usual statement about how the team is hard at work polishing and balancing the game ahead of launch and wouldn't you know it? They just need some more time.

As a quick recap, Skull and Bones was revealed at E3 2017. Development had actually started back in 2013, meaning that if it actually comes out in 2023, it will have been in development for a decade. It was first expected to be out in late 2018. Then it was delayed again to 2019, then 2020, then somewhere between April 2021 and March 2022, then pushed to an April 2022-March 2023 window, until settling on that November release date.

Really, this game getting delayed yet again shouldn't come as a surprised to anybody.

There is apparently an open beta coming soon.
