This past weekend, a suspect was arrested in connection with the recent data breaches at both Uber and Rockstar Games. The individual is responsible for the over 90 clips of Grand Theft Auto 6 in-development gameplay that made their way online last week. The suspect also claims to have obtained at least some source code for Grand Theft Auto 5 at the same time.
Over the weekend, a 17-year-old was arrested in England, suspected as being the individual responsible for the intrusions at both of these major companies. Eurogamer reports that the suspect is currently being held at a youth detention center after pleading guilty to breaching their bail conditions.
"The 17-year-old who appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court on 24th September has pleaded guilty to breaching his bail conditions and not guilty to computer misuse," detective inspector Michael O'Sullivan of City of London Police's Cyber Crime Unit said in a statement to the outlet. "The teenager has been remanded to a youth detention centre."
