If there is one game that is known by the majority of the gaming community, there is no doubt it is Skyrim. This video game was the fifth installment of The Elder Scrolls series, and when it dropped in 2011, audiences were blown away after experiencing an RPG experience unlike any other. Even though the game is now over ten years old, it is still played consistently to this day and this is because of the replayability the game contains. RPGs are designed to be massive experiences that people can continually access, but this is on a different level in Skyrim.

The growth of the video game industry has accelerated of late and more people than ever are joining the gaming scene. Similar to video games, gambling has also enjoyed a rise, especially considering that the popularity of online casinos without verification has also grown in recent years. While accessing casino games is always going to be an activity that many enjoy, so too will RPGs like Skyrim.

Skyrim has been out for a considerable amount of time, though audiences do have an announced sixth installment to look forward to sometime in the future. With this announcement, it seems as if the death of Skyrim is near given that the whole player base of the game will likely switch to the new game as soon as it comes out. Given this, it is interesting to look back at what Skyrim did well and what it didn’t do too well.

There is no doubt that Skyrim is a great game, but it is not without flaws. For example, the quantity of voice actors it has is dreadful, though the quality is great. Multiple NPCs will have voices the player has heard already, which lessens immersion somewhat. Also, the combat system could be much better and even casual gamers will have mastered it after an hour or two.

On the other hand, Skyrim simply excels at what it does do well. The world is expansive, and only a small part of it is not explorable. Players can simply lose themselves in this game and will no doubt get carried away discovering new locations or talking to a diverse cast of NPCs. The soundtrack is also mesmeric and really puts the cherry on top of an already excellent game.

Skyrim is a game that will go down in the history books for being one of the most popular RPGs of all time. As the sixth instalment is in development, fans will be hoping the new game in the franchise is just as good as the last.
