The one-man development studio that makes up Cogwheel Software just released a new sci-fi thriller, Hidden Deep. Today's release is a Steam Early Access release, but it seems to be quite polished from what I've seen so far. Still, the game will continue to receive new content updates and patches as the Early Access rolls on.
The core idea of the game is that you are controlling a recon team sent into a claustrophobic underground and suboceanic research facility. Oh, there just happens to be a lot of creepy horrific monsters down there. You will be armed with various gadgets that will help you explore the dark corridors. You can either play solo or with another in special co-op missions.
Players will make use of grappling hooks, drones, heavy machinery, and weapons to traverse and fend off all sorts of nasties. If playing solo, players are able to swap between any of the available living teammates to control them and move them independently of one another.

- Gripping, gritty sci-fi story. The story pays homage to many classic games and movies of the 80s and 90s such as Aliens, The Thing from Another World and the first Half-Life game.
