Paradox Interactive is a studio known for developing and publishing titles such as Stellaris, Hearts of Iron, Europa Universalis, and tons more. Today, Paradox is finding itself changing leaders after its now former CEO, Ebba Ljungerud, stepped down from her position over "differing views" on the future of the company.

Paradox announced the change on their site. Ljungerud is parting ways as the CEO and in her place Fredrik Wester will be appointed the new CEO. To assume his new role as CEO, Wester has resigned as Chairman of the Board. Ljungerud will stay with the company for a short period of time to "ensure a good handover."

HÃ¥kan Sjunnesson will move from Deputy Chairman of the Board to Chairman of the Board as the positions are shuffled around.

Ebba has done a fantastic job as CEO of Paradox Interactive. During her leadership the organisation, player base and our game projects have been strengthened and grown which give the company a strong base for future growth. We regret that she has decided to resign but wish her all the best in future endeavours, says HÃ¥kan Sjunnesson, Chairman of the Board.
It seems as though the split was quite amicable between all parties involved. Ljungerud even praised the company that she has been a part of for the past seven years.
