So yeah, maybe don't stream that game right now.

Crystal Dynamics issued a warning to streamers that are considering streaming Marvel's Avengers to the public. As of the recent 1.8.0 patch, the PlayStation 5 version of the game now shows the IP address of the person playing at the bottom of the screen.

After the patch went live, Crystal Dynamics took to Twitter to say that they were investigating an issue related to "a floating sting of text" appearing on players' screens. They continued on to say that players, namely those on the PS5, should "refrain from streaming." Yeah, that's probably a good idea.

Crystal Dynamics came up just short of admitting that the string of text was the person's IP address. However, countless replies made that distinction for them.

It took some time, but Crystal Dynamics did eventually fess up. They say that they are currently testing a solution and they will have a hotfix out tomorrow, June 23, at around 8AM (PT). Until then, don't stream Marvel's Avengers and don't share screenshots from the game.
