There's something awfully familiar about that date...
May 27th is just jam packed with events. Joining both Dying Light 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog will be a special stream for Horizon Forbidden West. This event in question for Horizon will be a new PlayStation State of Play and will take place on May 27 at 2PM (PT; 5PM ET).
If you're keeping track at home, this means that the Sonic event is first at Noon (ET), then the Dying Light 2 stream at 3PM (ET), and then this Horizon gameplay reveal at 5PM (ET).
The countdown for the gameplay reveal will actually begin at 9AM (PT), despite the gameplay reveal not happening until 2PM. That's a hell of a countdown. Mathijs de Jonge, the game director on Horizon Forbidden West, says via the PlayStation Blog that the countdown has been "uniquely crafted." I have no idea what that means, but I guess you'll just have to check it out for yourself to find out.
Excluding the lengthy countdown portion, the actual reveal will take place during a 20-minute long segment. Of those 20 minutes, there will be about 14 minutes of fresh gameplay shown off. You can tune in on either Twitch or YouTube on the 27th.
