However, the good news is that crossplay is coming.

We have some bad news to share with Xbox and Switch owners today: The release of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been delayed for both of these platforms. Mediatonic announced the delay today in a new blog update. The game was originally supposed to launch on these platforms in Summer 2021.

Mediatonic now says that the previously announced release date was "just too soon for (them) to include all of the tasty new features (they're) working on." The upside to this delay is the fact that they are now incorporating crossplay between platforms, meaning friends will be able to play together regardless of which platform they're playing Fallguys on.

The team also shared a little bit about what is to come for the game.

Fall Guys will keep rolling out new Seasonal content releases, fresh Shows, Costumes, Rounds and all the other delicious things you know and love. The rapidly approaching Season 4.5 update is no exception, with 2 fiendish new Rounds heading your way, plus delicious Fall fashion for your Season 4 wardrobe.
Mediatonic was acquired by Epic Games in March 2021. So far, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout continues to remain available on Steam. It is also available for the PlayStation 4 platform.
