Gershon along with others were announced today for the Borderlands movie.

Today, Lionsgate revealed that Gina Gershon, Cheyenne Jackson, Charles Babalola, Benjamin Byron Davis, Steven Boyer, and Ryann Redmond are all joining the cast of the Borderlands movie.

Gershon will play the role of Moxxi. Jackson will play Jakobs. In the film Jakobs is getting ready to marry Hammerlock, whom will be played by Babalola. Boyer will play the role of Scooter. Redmond will assume the role of the mechanic, Ellie. Davis will be Marcus.

One additional cast member, Bobby Lee, will play a soldier from Roland's former unit and will be given the name of... Larry. Larry is a new character introduced just for the film.

These new cast members join with previously announced cast members including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, Janina Gavankar, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, and Edgar Ramierez.

If nothing else, the movie sure does have a star-studded cast. It has the potential to be the best movie adaptation of a game ever made. Let's just hope that this all comes together in the end and doesn't end up in the gutter alongside trash like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation or Alone in the Dark.
