Several problems come along with gambling. In some countries, gambling, whether in casinos or anywhere else, is just a recreational activity, and there are no legal penalties to be afraid of. In some other countries, severe penalties are issued to those who try to break the laid down laws. Whether you are a gambler or just intrigued about gambling in general, you might want to ride with me to know those countries where it is illegal. In this article, we'd look at 5 of those countries that illegalized casinos.

Even though some think that parts of the EU, such as the Baltic states are against online gambling, it is not, actually. In fact, while major countries like France bans online casino gaming, it is quite safe to say that online gambling in Latvia is legal.

QATAR
Talk about the country known to be the strictest for gambling, and you get Qatar. Like all forms of gambling is seen as illegal, and there is no excuse you can tender to make them consider you once you are caught. No form of betting is allowed in this country, and anyone caught in the act would have to face the full wrath of the law. As in most countries, some still feel like they can maneuver somehow, so they have gambling done underground even though it's illegal. You don't want to be caught amongst those people, I assure you.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE)
As with most Islamic countries, gambling, casinos, betting, and all associated terms should not even be heard in the UAE. Anybody who engages in such is liable to face two years in prison under penal code article 414. Their internet service is also highly monitored; hence all connections with the outside world are duly observed and controlled by the govt.

CAMBODIA
Pathological gambling is an issue that has been disturbing Cambodia for a long time. Now, it has been completely banned for its citizens by the government to suppress the disorder. The Suppression of Gambling Act, created in 1996, does not apply to visitors or tourists. There are casinos solely for tourists and visitors, which has helped increase the country's GDP.

LEBANON
Any type of gambling or casino use is entirely illegal in Lebanon. Online casinos are banned as well, and the government possesses full power to block anyone noticed by them. The only gambling spot allowed is at Casino du Liban in Jounieh also. If you want to gamble freely, there is a ship designated for the sole purpose of taking you into the waters off the shores of the country. You might want to stay away from the ships if you have a phobia of seawater or easily prone to seasickness.

POLAND
Poland initially was free from so many complications when it comes to gambling and other affiliated acts. But as it is a member of the European Union, it had to adjust its stance to the body. In 2009, an act was passed, limiting online gambling and all casino gaming to only be provided by the designated gambling provider, giving the country total monopoly. Any other gambling site or casino area would be considered illegal.
