505 Games just announced that Puzzle Quest 3 is in development and will be launched later in 2021. This will be an all-new installment to the high successful puzzle-RPG franchise.
This series has generated over $200 million in revenue and has reportedly hit an estimated 32 million users globally across the franchise. The development team at Infinity Plus Two will be working hard ahead of the release later this year. It will be a multiplatform release (PC and mobile confirmed already) that is free-to-play (F2P).
Puzzle Quest 3 is slated to be a "return to its origins" and will have a greater focus on RPG mechanics than its predecessor.
Puzzle Quest 3 returns to its origins, recalling the deep RPG mechanics and signature heroic storylines that made the original a standout hit within the Match-3 category. Now featuring a twist on traditional puzzle gameplay, PQ3 offers an intense 1-versus-1 battle system realized in a 3D game world.
