CD Projekt Red has officially denied all of the claims from a supposed Cyberpunk 2077 developer that have been making the rounds across a number of sights this past week. Among some of the claims, the "developer" said that a major overhaul of the game was in the works and would be ready around June.

The mystery person goes on to say that significant parts of the code have been rewritten and that a lot of the supposed cut content will be returned to the game. The post first originated on GameFAQs a few weeks back. It was then reposted to Reddit where it really started to pick up some traction.

The person claims that they (CD Projekt Red) "scrapped 50,000+ lines of dialogue" and that they "believe the June update will bring a whole lot of cut content back into the game." These claims, among many others made in the anonymous statement, sounded like a fan's wet dreams and it's probably because they are.

CD Projekt Red came out with a brief statement today that broadly denied the claims made in the anonymous "developer" post. They say that while they normally don't comment on rumors they wanted to make an exception and say that the claims made on Reddit and GameFAQs are "simply not true."
