Though it isn't slated to be released until some point in 2021 on the PC and Xbox Series X, that isn't stopping Ebb Software from showing off about 14 minutes of gameplay for their upcoming first-person horror title, Scorn. The video shows off an updated version of the first level of the game, which was first shown off back in 2017. This time, the footage is from the Xbox Series X version.
It's not quite a 1:1 comparison though. The studio is showing off a different part of that level from 2017. Its aim is to show off how the team and the game has evolved in the previous few years. This includes enhanced gameplay, new weapons, better animations, better looking environments, and new creatures that were added.
The team says that there are plenty of optimizations still in store for both the Xbox Series X and PC ahead of its 2021 launch.
The entire environment and every encounter within it are designed to tell a specific story and draw you into the world of Scorn. Initially indifferent to your humanoid presence in the sticky, organic passages they inhabit, the creatures you meet quickly turn hostile if crossed.
