Come December 4, 2020, John Wick Hex will break free of its Epic Games Store (affiliate link) exclusivity and be available on other PC platforms. Not only that, but it will make its debut on other home consoles such as the Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
John Wick Hex is the first, and so far the only, video game based on the hit Lionsgate action franchise. The game is the creation of Mike Bithell, who previously brought the world games like Thomas Was Alone and Volume. John Wick Hex is a "fast-paced, action oriented strategy game that makes you think and strike like the professional hitman."
If you perform well enough and make progress, you will unlock new weapons, suit options, and locations. Each weapon changes up the type of tactics you will use and how you play the game.
The game itself uses a "unique graphic noir" art design that "compliments the style of the films." It features the voice talents of Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Troy Baker.
Created in close cooperation with the creative teams behind the films, John Wick Hex is fight-choreographed chess brought to life as a video game, capturing the series’ signature gun fu style while expanding its story universe. Players must choose every action and attack they make, while considering their immediate cost and consequences. Every move in John Wick Hex feels like a scene from the movies, and every fight contributes to your progress on the job and requires precise strategic thinking.
