Is a remaster incoming?

The Brazil Rating Board just updated with a new rating for Mafia 2 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. They join other game ratings boards like those in Taiwan and Korea that have updated with new listings for Mafia 2 on the aforementioned platforms.

The rating seems to point towards something called a Mafia 2: Definitive Edition. This may be the oft-rumored remaster for Mafia 2 that has been floating around now for a fair number of months. TwistedVoxel.com managed to snag the following screenshot of the updated listing from the Brazil Rating Board website. At present, I cannot access the website (presumably due to outside traffic trying to verify this claim), but I trust their findings and the screenshot they took.



The original release of Mafia 2 came about in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. There is no official word from Take-Two about any sort of a remaster or remake or anything else of the sort. However, fuel to this fire was provided these past two days from the official Mafia Twitter account. Prior to yesterday, this account was dormant since August 24, 2018.
