The fantasy RPG is getting an HD remake.
Trials of Mana remake

The third entry in the classic Mana franchise is getting a full, high-definition remake from Square Enix. The studio released a new trailer today showing off their current efforts on the remake of Trials of Mana. The April 24 release date is just around the corner, so the wait won't be too long now.

Trials of Mana was originally released in Japan in 1995. The RPG takes players on an "unforgettable adventure" with a host of unforgettable heroes and villains. This HD remake is coming next month for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and the PC via Steam.

Pre-orders are currently available in a few different flavors. The PC release is obviously only available digitally via Steam. There is also a digital release on the PlayStation Store. These digital offerings are $49.99 (USD). Curiously, there was no digital listing for the Switch version of the game. I have to imagine there will be one eventually, but it just isn't live yet. There are also some physical releases coming, but these will be limited to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch version. You can find all pre-order options at the Trials of Mana website at the bottom of the page.

Square Enix also wants to note that those who purchase the game in any form by May 21, 2020 for the Switch or PlayStation 4 will get a special Rabite Adornment DLC. This will allow you to get some bonus experience after battles up to level 10. Pre-orders of the digital release on the PlayStation Store will also get an exclusive avatar set featuring the game's six heroes. Pre-orders made on Steam by May 21, 2020 will get the aforementioned Rabite Adornment DLC plus an exclusive wallpaper set.

Originally released in Japan as Seiken Densetsu 3 in 1995, Trials of Mana immerses players in an unforgettable adventure filled with exciting gameplay, memorable heroes and villains. Players will craft varying experiences by selecting a party of three from six unique characters as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime, upgrading their characters’ classes into more power forms, learning over 300 different abilities, and discovering a world of secrets and mysteries to explore.
