To be broadcast live starting on December 13.
Kenny Omega

Professional wrestler and recurring fighting game community (FGC) personality, Kenny Omega, will be your co-host for the 2019 Capcom Cup in Los Angeles, California from December 13-15.

This annual fighting game tournament is centered around Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition for this year. The event typically runs throughout the entire year and pulls in players and fans from literally all around the globe (flat-Earthers need not apply). These players have been competing for one of the 32 qualifying spots and a chance at the $250,000 (USD) prize pool.

Fans will be able to watch the Capcom Cup live on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, and Facebook.

At present, Kenny Omega is signed with All Elite Wrestling, a new professional wrestling league founded just this year. As a host of the Capcom Cup, Omega will conduct interviews with various players and "influencers," in addition to providing live analysis. He will also act as the master of ceremonies for the top 32 and Grand Finals.

Kenny Omega has included a fair bit of cross-over between his wrestling career and games. He even had Undertale developer Toby Fox create a special segment for a wrestling appearance in late October, after which Omega walked to the stage dressed as Sans. If you haven't yet seen it, you can find a video of the intro below.

Omega's name is inspired by the Omega Weapon from the Final Fantasy franchise. He has come out to variations of Dr. Wily's theme song over the years. One of his finishing moves is called One-Winged Angel. Omega has also made use of a Hadouken-style attack as a signature move. According to Wikipedia, Omega took up styles that were inspired by Wesker from the Resident Evil games during a period in which he was a wrestling "villain."

This isn't Omega's first time working with Capcom either. Omega played Cody Travers in the live-action portion of the character's gameplay trailer for Street Fighter V. When Wrestlin Nation nears its inevitable return, you can all rest assured that Kenny Omega will be the first person I ask to take over.
