NHL 20 from EA Sports was updated today. On any other day this would be quickly ignored. However, today? Today sees the addition of Snoop Dogg as both an announcer and a player.

Why? Reasons beyond "because" or "because money" simply elude me. I don't even see any announcement about this addition on the official NHL game website. The official EA Sports NHL Twitter does have a couple of mentions concerning today's new addition.

Besides having him as an announcer, you can take on Snoop Dogg and his "Featured Squad" in order to earn "his dope Snoop HUT Jersey." Those are EA's words that I was quoting there. You can see his Featured Squad above along with the jersey that you could unlock. The announcement trailer is below.
