Four Pac-Boys drop in, but only one will emerge a Pac-Man.
Pac-Man Party Royale

Bandai Namco announced today a new game that is in the works for Apple Arcade. It's called Pac-Man Party Royale and as the name suggests, it's got a bit of a battle royale thing going on.

Slated for release later this year, Pac-Man Party Royale will see four players dropping onto an island battling it out to see who is the best Pac-Man player. The one that is still chomping along at the end is obviously the best.

It's still a Pac-Man game, so the general idea is still about what you would expect. Players can eat pellets to gain speed. Find a Super Pellet and you can eat anything and everything in your way, including enemies and friends alike. Players that are eaten will become ghosts. These ghosts can come back to life by catching other players.

Returning in Pac-Man Party Royale is the 256-glitch. We last saw this glitch appear in the 2015 game Pac-Man 256. This time, the "glitch" will shrink the playable size of the maze until there is only one Pac-Man left.
