A whole lot more Destiny is coming and it all starts with the Moon.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep

On October 1, 2019 the Shadowkeep expansion for Destiny 2 will be released. On that same date, the game effectively takes on a whole new life. It will be gone from Battle.net and will now instead be played through Steam. It also marks the first major piece of content released for Destiny 2 since their separation from Activision.

On October 1, Destiny 2 will have a free-to-play version released on every platform. It'll be called Destiny: New Light and it will give new players access to a ton of content, including an immediate jump in level to join in on end game activities.

Before then, Bungie continues to release new material for the upcoming Shadowkeep release. This of course includes a brand new ViDoc that provides a look at what we'll be doing on the Moon and beyond.

"We’re here to build something that lives."
