Get a small look of the 4v1 gameplay coming in Project REsistance.
Project Resistance

Capcom has been busy teasing a new, upcoming game set in the Resident Evil universe. This game, currently called Project Resistance, will have its full reveal on September 12. However, they didn't want to leave fans high and dry, and have released a short teaser today.

From the looks of things, this new game will be a mashup of the old Resident Evil Outbreak games mixed with some Left 4 Dead shenanigans. If you don't know, Outbreak was a co-op focused survival horror game released for the PlayStation 2. It had online multiplayer capabilities and tasked players with trying to survive against the horrors of Raccoon City. There was even a stand-alone expansion for Outbreak called Resident Evil Outbreak File #2.

Project Resistance seems to take some of the ideas presented in Outbreak and modernized them a bit. The teaser, seen below, seems to show four players going up against the AI controlled horde. Stop me if you've heard this one before. It looks as though a fifth player will get to control things like when and where enemies will spawn and even control some of the "special" enemy types.

The game, whatever it ends up being called in the end, will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
