Square Enix and Marvel just showed off some new gameplay for Marvel's Avengers this week at Gamescom. You'll get a taste of the game's opening level where you will see Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor battling Taskmaster. This opening level is very much a tutorial area where you get a little taste of the unique powers of the Avengers.
Marvel's Avengers is an upcoming third-person action-adventure game from Square Enix. You will build up the roster of Avengers in "an original, cinematic single-player campaign." From there, you can either play solo or online alongside your friends in a variety of missions set around the world. There's also some bit of customization you can do to each character.
Marvel's Avengers is out on May 15, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC.
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
