Dead by Daylight

A mobile release of the multiplayer title Dead by Daylight is apparently coming soon for iOS and Android. The news was confirmed today by Behaviour. They also note that the game will be free-to-play at release and is built from the ground up "to offer the best user experience and controls on mobile devices."

If you haven't heard of Dead by Daylight yet, or need a refresher, I got you. Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer game. There are four survivors and one powerful killer. The hunter is usually a maniacal and crazy killer, often times inspired by horror movie villains. Sometimes the killer is just straight up a movie character like Ghost Face or even Ash Williams The killer must, well, kill the four survivors and prevent them from escaping. The survivors try to avoid the killer while also turning on generators scattered throughout each level. Turn on enough generators and gates can be opened that could lead to freedom.

Dead by Daylight Mobile is looking to be released before the end of 2019. Behaviour says that they are going to support this version of the game "in the long-term" with regular content updates. It sounds like they're going to follow the same roadmap that they're using the for PC and console versions of the game.

A Nintendo Switch release is also coming and is slated for release this Fall. If you don't want to wait and would rather play Dead by Daylight on PC, it looks like it's on sale via Steam right now for 50% off.
