No Man's Sky Beyond

Hello Games just announced another big update that is in the works for No Man's Sky. This update, called "Beyond" is currently slated to be released Summer 2019. Sean Murray took to both his own site and the PlayStation Blog today to talk about No Man's Sky: Beyond.

It seems as though Murray and his steam are going to announce more details about Beyond in stages. Today marks the beginning of the first stage where they talk about No Man's Sky Online.

And yes, as you may have already gathered from the previous content updates for No Man's Sky, Beyond will be free to everyone that owns the base game. That's some pretty good support there from Hello Games.

No Man’s Sky Online includes a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together. While this brings people together like never before, and has many recognizable online elements, we don’t consider No Man’s Sky to be an MMO — it won’t require a subscription, won’t contain microtransactions, and will be free for all existing players.

These changes are an answer to how we have seen people playing since the release of NEXT, and is something we’ve dreamed of for a long time. We will talk more about each component when we know we can be precise, and look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.
Beyond is being billed as the "most ambitious chapter" thus far for No Man's Sky.
