You should play under my command, except I don't play Karkand.
I rekon the worst commanders are the dickheads who fly in jets! WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING? how can they be of any help to anyone at all? they dont even get the points for kills in the jet!
it also ****es me off when on wake island if ur PLA and you try to take the jet, the dumbasses who purposely stand in ur way just to get teamkilled so they can punish
some people play as commander do just shooting, not doing thier jobs as commander,so they want to win "2x bonus for win" only for commander and want a high point to get new rank.
I shoot and kill my own commanders if they are either n00bishly bad or just get hte commander and fighting instead of commanding
if you shoot...u'll lose point so get slow to get new rank
Whenever I command I hide somewhere safe, then do all I can to help my team win. I will not use a tank or APC unless they're capping the main and I'm the only one there. I drop supplies on all armor (if they don't need it now they will soon enough) everytime, unless my equipment is destroyed and I need it for that. I will not drop arty on a base with friendlies attacking it unless they are VASTLY outnumbered (i.e. a couple guys against 10 or 20). I try not to fight directly as it hinders my commanding, but we all know sometimes you have to pitch in quickly.
Basically I do everything a commander should.
My issue is with squads.
Think about it, I have a scanner to see where everyone in the game is located, and I have a perfect picture of what is needed where. Does it not make sense that I have good reason for asking you to do what I am?
I had one squad leader initiate a mutiny against me because I ordered him to attack the south base on Wake while he was at the north base. Bear in mind NOBODY was there and they had all the south flags. He didn't understand that sure defense is good, but when you're back is to the wall you better attack or lose.
I cannot tell you the times entire squads refused to take orders and all I could do was type commands to the rest of the team (non-squad). I've won a few rounds like this!
The best is when a clan forms a squad, they listen and they're good. Other times, it is so hopless I just want to resign and go fight myself.
Yes, commanders need to work for their team, but the team needs to work with the commander!
Some people here actually got the brains not to care about ranks and stats...Originally Posted by cky05

This is just ludicrous. If playing poorly was a criteria for getting kicked, then the servers would all be empty. I realize you mean kicked from just being a commander, but why just commander? Why not other support type classes.Originally Posted by John-Paul
Besides, some commanders, are just trying to learn how to be a commander.
Just move on.
Ok, I have only played as commander a few times. I am by no mean an expert at it. Please tell me if I'm off track with any of this.
My reasoning on it is the same as every other class in the game. If you're gonna play as a medic, be a medic. Same for support, engineer, and so on. If you want to be commander, be somewhere you can command and not get killed. A dead commander can't watch the screen, drop supplies, fire artillery, etc. I hide and watch. I listen to my squad leaders. If the guys get clusted up, i drop supplies. If they take one flag, I drop arty on the next closest or the nearest group(note: I said 'group' not single guy just because he's there). I try to give my SL's a heads up if my mic is working. I don't fight unless I'm alone at the main base and a scan shows someone near me. I never put the UAV over me because it's needed elsewhere.
Does this sound wrong? I'm still a beginner at this game, just a corporal. But I was an Infantryman for 4 years and Sergeant for 16 months with 2 combat tours. I relate how I should play in the game by what I know in real life.
Oh, and Mr.Benis. Yes, arty is a wonderful thing. But at the end of the day, it's the Infantry that gets the job done. INFANTRY LEADS THE WAY!
