New Forum Skins?

Hey guys-

This is more of a request than feedback, per se...

But anyways, I've grown kind of... tired of the yellow, lightish-desertish looking skin on the TBF2 forums. Don't get me wrong, I love it and I've never had any grief against it, but I'd just like another view about the place.

What I'd really like is a darker version, dark blues/grays. Metal looking stuff and all that. I'm sure you guys have quite a bit on your plate right now, but I'd really like this a lot.

If there's any chance that I could also add my services to the site and possibly brainstorm some skins, I'd be more than willing.

That's a cool idea. We'd definitely love to offer new - possibly darker - skins but unfortunately it involves a heap of work (+ testing) to get a polished skin into production.

It's now on the to-do and we'll get onto it when we get the chance!

I completely agree. A nice night-ish theme in honor of SF would be really cool (Black and green).

If you guys do make a second (or third) skin, please make sure that there is only one skin available at any one time, and everyone is using it.

The most annoying thing is trying to make your posts/sig/avatar look good for both light themes, dark themes, and everything else. One theme for everyone makes it easier for us members, and a LOT easier for you staff members.

Yep, it's been on the to-do list for a while now. We'll get around to it eventually, we've been preoccupied with moving everything and getting everything up and running correctly.

We'll be updating the site with new content soon, after that we'll concentrate on a new look.

I think just a darker, more believable desertish scheme would fit better. But, with a new forum skin would come a new website template as well - atleast one would think.

I think the skin should stay the same, that's kind of like what makes this web-site different from others...plus I think it looks great.

A darker skin is great as long as it is completely custom and different from any other forum. That way it seperates us for other BF2 forums and a Special Forces look as SaladFork metioned would look very nice.

Yea, and what about about the feature to be able to customise the skins for each user. I understand that would require alot of coding and stuff, but it would be a sweet as feature, even if there were only 2 to choose from, or something. That way people who like the current skin can stay with it while as new ones become available they can be used by those who like them.
