Sounds like he made them up. If you create your own squad name, and then someone creates a squad afterwards, then their squad will take the name that yours would have if you didn't create your own name.

I've actually always wondered about this and I'm not sure if BF2 uses the same alphabet, seeing as how G = Gamma in the game.

Thats ********.. if someone creates a squad with the name "Poopie" and someone creates one afterwards it will be the first squad name that is Alfa,Bravo,Charlie,Delta

These are actually correct, written phonetically. Alfa is how its pronounced.
