If a commander is doing his job, Scanning, Spotting, Sending in supplies, using Arty and giving squad commanders order, you should have no time on you hands to do anything else.

well ive played commander a few times, and i don't stay in one place. Reason for that is the other commander can soon scan you out on your own and send artillery down on you.
I personally think its nuts to kick/ban a commander for mearly helping out his team by fighting. And if we loose our toys, do you still expect us to sit and do nothing? Their has been a few times where im sitting on my own thinking "jez, i could be helping these guys out and not sitting on ones backside". But thats just my opinion.

In my oppinion a commander must nearly always be on the commander screen except every now and again when he should have a quick look at his map to see if there are any vehicals available .This is becouse some times people get that caught up in the battle they forget about vehicals so its good to remind them if there are any. I dont beleave this guy should of been banned but he should of deffinatly been kicked im a good commander and a good heli pilot and there is no way in hell you can command properly while flying a heli. You want even do a half arsed job you'll be completely **** at it. And as for that kid jibbering on about commanders should lead by example your talking out of your arse there boy do you think generals in the real army would be on the front lines no there sat at the back looking at the HOLE picture and telling people what to do.
I'll tell you how to tell a good commander :-
1 They camp
2 They have a mic and talk to there squad leaders
3 Highest priority for any commader in game is to take control of the enemys air assets or to protect his own . If you rule the air you've won the game and it is as simple as that (if youve got some good flyers that is)
4 Next priority is to take over all the bases that have armour or to protect your own.
Thats basicaly it if they do that your laughing and aslong as your team isnt retarded you'll win easyily. So if your ever on a map and all the commander does is send everyone to cap one flag that has no airfeild or vehicals and your constantly get
blown away by the enemys artillary and there are flags around that do have that either mutany against him or just completely ignor the stupid git.
Just don't play on their server. They are a bunch of whiners who love to ban for no good reason.
I was playing on their server and saw a sniper running around with a red tag so I killed him. Turns out it was the red tag bug, and he starts screaming at me that he's going to ban me. I told him he had a red tag and he says "Doesn't matter! You should have known by the uniform!" I said "You're a sniper, you look like a freakin bush, I can't tell what team you're on by your uniform" and he gets all mad and says "Ok that does it, ALT-TABbing to ban you." so I said "go ahead moron".
So he bans me. Does that make any sense? No. He's just abusing his power, even knowing that it was an honest mistake after I explained everything. Screw Black Ops, they're morons.
When I'm commander, I barely have enough time to defend one flag (usually main) with C4, besides commanding. If you say you can do a full-time-commander job while flying, you are a liar.
