Is using the auto tune fine for me? Or should I download another overclocking utility and test/OC with that?
I have a VisionTek HD 3650 512mb DDR2. Stock is 725/400mhz, auto tune gave me 740mhz for the core, and I canceled the RAM OC because I didn't think DDR2 could go that high (went to like 460) and I was afraid it would fry my RAM. :hmm:
Anyways, ATI Overdrive says 740/420 passed, am I even going to notice any difference with a budget card?
Yeah I kinda figured that out myself with a calculator :|:
Average 30 FPS*1.016 = 30.5 FPS lol.
I just OCed it to 745/410mhz, no noticeable difference.
Used WiC demo benchmark, 1280x1024 medium, average FPS was 19 for both stock and OC lol.
So, are you temped to buy a new card?
I'll live with it. A GTX 280 won't be much use if I have it on running with a Pentium D and a no-brand mobo.![]()
