Well I just got an email from EA Support saying that there will be no Australian Support for BF:BC as in No Australian Servers at all I am extreme pissed as I was stoked for this game couldn't wait but nope EA seem to ruin everything good.
I am not the only one that has received emails like this I saw it in a thread on the EA official BFBC forum many did the same thing as I did and emailed and got a reply saying No Local servers I will get the email up when I am able to access hotmail.
Can you post proof please.
Why don't you host your own server?
I remember reading from somewhere that DICE/EA handles the servers in the demo.
But you should be able to make your own server in the full game...
BF:BC is a console game, you can't just host your won servers...
At least thats what I'm aware of.
GTA 4 is a console game too, so is Metal Gear Online and Burnout Paradise... And you still can host your own server...
Damn, you can even make your own online season in NHL(:shock...
So don't say that you just can't do it... Since it's been done so many times before.
The hosting is bit easier on consoles, because the game makers doesn't have to worry that someone mods the server settings that it gives massive points to everyone. Well, atleast it's not their primary concern...
So i don't see why you shouldn't be able to host your own game...
:salute:
I've pointed the issue in the direction of Mr Lexluther.
BF:BC uses dedicated servers like most pc games (as did the last bf consol game) I would wait till the game comes out before getting to wound up as im sure there will be some oz servers
Normally you would be right.. But EA like dedicated servers for there console games because they are more stable than user created ones (run off your console) and also you don't have issues with people being kicked off if the host disconnects
In GTA 4 and MGO if the host disconnects, the hosting resposiblity moves to the next player. So you don't get kicked even if the original host disconnects...
Time to time in MGO i have lost connection because the hosting moves to someone with either really slow internet, or he's from the other side of the world...
But generally the host change goes smoothly...
