Kind of a noob question, i remember when i started playing BF2 last year i used to play assult cos i would die less often
, but i remember back then there definately seemed to be a difference getting shot as assult or getting shot as spec ops or whatever, but i dont know now as there doesnt seem to be a difference anymore and its been so long since i played 1.12 version that i cant remember
Anyone able to clarify?
hasnt changed afaik. assault, at, engy? all have armor, 110% damage compared to classes like medic / sniper / spec ops...
Thanks, many a sleepless night ive had over that
, good to know though
Support has armour, not Engineer. And it's not necessarily 110% health, it's a reduction in bullet damage of roughly 30% (50% vs. shotguns) compared to non-armoured classes.

Does the reduction in damage apply to headshots?
It would be soo cool if they had a heavier armour unlock, but one which slowed down your running to blanace it
AT, Assault, and Support have armor.
No, because one does not wear body armour on one's head in BF2.Originally Posted by lmimmfn

Body armor covers the torso and reduces damage done by small arms to 66% and damage done by shotguns to 52% (according to data in this threadhttp://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56385).
It also reduces damage done by miniguns to 50%, which is critically important when the guy in the Blackhawk is trying desperately to land a shot on you.![]()
